What are the drawbacks?
- The drawbacks of WIX are that the site is a closed code platform, which means that changes cannot be made to the code, the site cannot be stored outside of WIX, the design of the site and its visibility follow the template, and ironically, the Hebrew language does not yet have full support, so it is recommended to use a specialist in that field.
- Another small drawback, of course, is that the entire platform is closed code, so there is no possibility of making changes, and the community of developers and designers is small compared to competitors like WordPress.
WordPress:
WordPress, unlike Wix, is an open-source website-building platform.
The advantages are obvious: Compared to Wix (WIX), the WordPress system is open source, and the possibilities are much greater.
The community of website builders using WordPress is huge, and if you need help building a website, there are many people and professional organizations you can turn to.
Besides the huge community of website builders, you can find a lot of content on YouTube and Google that will help you get a broad understanding of how to use the platform.
Within WordPress, however, it is possible to work with a variety of different templates and designs. One of the most common options for working with WordPress is, of course, Elementor:
Elementor
Elementor is an Israeli company that offers a variety of templates and “widgets” for WordPress.
The system is fully compatible with Hebrew and can also set up websites in several languages!
Most WordPress plugins work with and fully interface with Elementor!
In Israel, Elementor is probably the most popular system for working with WordPress, but there are many systems out there, and unlike in Israel, Elementor is not considered very popular abroad.
Elementor also has extensions built by outside companies that upgrade Elementor with many additional options, both free and paid.
Visual Composer
Like Elementor, Visual Composer is another system for working with WordPress. It was probably one of the first tools in the world created to work with WordPress. There are many WordPress templates that use Visual Composer, and the tool is constantly being improved to this day.
Who is it suitable for?
Visual Composer is primarily a tool adapted for English websites, where text is, of course, written from left to right. For Hebrew websites, Visual Composer is less adapted and can be problematically integrated. Using Visual Composer on a Hebrew website will certainly require some tuning work. Beyond that, it is a very stable visual tool and will be very useful for working with WordPress and building websites. Visual Composer has many options within the tool; you don’t need extensions like Elementor. It is useful for writing more code, and there are many plugins that work well with it.
Bakery - WPBakery
Last but not least, WP Bakery. This system is probably considered one of the leaders in the template market.
About 30-45 percent of WordPress site templates are based on this tool.
There is no free version of Bakery, but in most cases, it is an excellent system that is completely worth the money.
The tool is considered very advanced visually and allows the user to create a website in an advanced way according to their goals.
The tool is also not 100% adapted to the task of creating a website in Hebrew, and if the text is left to right, it is better to use the tool for an English website.
Beyond that, you will need the help of a programmer to completely convert your website to Hebrew.
